Rumbolds Farm Wedding, Sussex – Jo & Lotte

Rumbolds Farm Wedding
Unusually, I hadn’t met the couple until the day before the wedding although we had Skyped a few times. People are so busy nowadays, Skype really helps me to get an idea of the personalities of the couple and to get a feel for what sort of shots I feel would suit them best. Charlotte and Johnathan struck me as a modern, relaxed and laid back couple who wouldn’t want anything too formal or stuffy. I went down to the Rumbolds farm in Sussex for the rehearsal and like many other guests, camped there in the beautiful grounds. The guests were amazing and really made me feel part of the party.
The wedding
The wedding itself took place outside with stunning views across the woodland and lake at the beautiful Rumbolds Farm. It was truly breath-taking and the bride and groom looked fantastic.
The reception was held in The Barn, a stunning rustic space which set the tone for the wedding. Gorgeous exposed oak beams and brickwork continued the pastoral theme and gave the reception a wonderfully relaxed yet fashionably contemporary feel. My highlight was the best man standing up to deliver his speech then disappearing to the loo for ten minutes. Charlotte sprang into action and sang to the guests until his return!
This gorgeous wedding felt more like a mini festival with new friends than a day at work – a big thank you to the lovely couple and their friends and family.
