Kedleston Country House Wedding – Mark and Belinda

I first met Belinda at a wedding fayre in Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire about a year before the wedding where they told me of there plans to have Kedleston Country House Wedding. I knew straight away that we would get along! Mark and Belinda are a really fun, bubbly couple and I think this was reflected in what they wanted from me. There was going to be nothing stuffy about this wedding!

The Wedding Venue Derbyshire

The ceremony took place at the beautiful All Saints Church in Turnditch. The gorgeous church in this idyllic hillside Derbyshire village was the perfect setting for the day.

The Reception Venue

The reception venue was stunning. In the heart of the Peak District, the restored Georgian Kedleston Country House is part of the famous Kedleston Hall estate. This is a fairly new venue but the staff were completely amazing. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, all eager to make sure the day went brilliantly. This was an intimate wedding and the elegant boutique hotel suited it perfectly.

Sadly the weather wasn’t fantastic so it was difficult to capture many shots of the happy couple outdoors in the gorgeous gardens so we made the most of the beautiful interiors. Fortunately, the venue is swamped with natural light from skylights as well as doors leading onto the terrace.

It is hard deciding on my favourite moment of the day…. Mark pulling out a speech from his first wedding had everyone in stitches. What a brave man! Equally funny but also very sweet was his surprise for Belinda – a Lamborghini to whisk her away. Sadly for Mark, he didn’t take the proportions of Belinda’s dress into account. (They’re not famed for their storage space, Lamborghinis!)

Belinda and Mark kindly placed me and second photographer Chris on tables with the guests at the reception. This is great as we really get to know everyone better and it helps to capture their characters as the day rolls into the evening. We were booked for the whole day so were there to capture all of the memorable moments of the truly lovely day. Thanks both, for allowing us to be part of your special day. A truly memorable one!
