The venue Stancliffe Hall is inspiring and wonderful place in Derbyshire.
I’ll always remember my first real experience of Stancliffe Hall when my good friend had the very first wedding there. I was the best man (what a terrifying experience that was). From the moment I arrived, I just know its going to be amazing place with the long stone walls around the property leading to the gates, were I need to get buzzed in not knowing what to expect.
Estate
The private estate was looking perfect from the moment I drove in, with a drive way leading through the amazing trees, we knew that this wouldn’t be a wedding I couldn’t forget in a hurry. Being a Derby wedding photographer and I was excited to have stumbled on such a place with its whopping 50 acre estate, which is overlooking Derwent Valley with magnificent views of Riber Castle in the distance this place is now In my top 10 places to photograph weddings.
Inside
Boasting 8 luxurious bedrooms and fine spa facilities, relaxing country grounds, you just know your going to have a great time like we did with friends wedding on New Years. So much to my delighted when Paul and Ruth picked me to photograph their wedding at Stancliffe Hall, being one of my favourite Derbyshire wedding venues, of course I said yes. It was also a sad occasion learning the place would no longer be taking bookings for weddings back in 2014 . I was really happy to get this last wedding there in August of that year.
